UnitedHealthcare’s security program applies to all UHC brokers and agencies. The program includes:
- Online Security Attestations or Questionnaires
- Periodic Security Reviews via a Teams meeting to confirm key security controls
- Where applicable, appropriately addressing identified security gaps
These required activities assess the security framework to confirm that appropriate administrative, technical, and physical
safeguards are implemented. This ensures compliance with data protection standards specified in the UnitedHealthcare contract and the requirements for HIPAA Business Associates.
This section addresses questions related to the UHC Broker Portal: https://securebroker.uhc.com/
1. What is a One Healthcare ID?
One Healthcare ID (OHID) is a secure, centralized identity management solution that allows you to use a single sign-on for any UnitedHealthcare applications connected to One Healthcare ID. You simply register for a One Healthcare ID once and then use it to seamlessly access any associated applications. You also have the ability to reset your password, recover your One Healthcare ID and manage your profile.
2. What if I have already created an OHID for another UnitedHealthcare portal?
If you have already created an OHID for another portal, you do not need to register a separate One Healthcare ID for broker security activities. Simply ensure the ID matches the one used for other UnitedHealthcare portals, and the username and password will continue working.
3. What should I do if I receive an error message when logging in to complete my UnitedHealthcare security activities?
Please follow these steps:
- Verify your OHID credentials. Ensure they match those used for other UHC portals
- Check your password. It is case-sensitive
- Try a different browser or reloading page. OHID is supported on the following browsers:
- Internet Explorer 9 through 11
- Firefox's latest version
- Chrome's latest version
- Safari's latest version for iPhone/iPad
- If the error persists, contact securebroker@uhc.com.
4. How can I Unlock my OHID Account?
You can use self-service to reset your password if you have forgotten it. Click the “Forgot My Password” option and follow instructions.
